Team members

Invite people into your organization and set what they can do.

A team member is a person with access to your organization. You add people by inviting them, and each one has a role that decides what they can do.

Inviting someone

You invite a teammate by email. They get an invitation, accept it, and join your organization with the role you gave them. Until they accept, the invitation is pending.

Changing someone's role

A member's role can be changed at any time. Move someone to a role with more access when they take on more, or less when they need less. The change takes effect right away.

Removing someone

When a person should no longer have access, you remove them from the organization. They lose access at once. Their past actions stay in the record; removing someone does not erase what they did.

The owner

Every organization has an owner. The owner is the top of the organization and cannot be locked out of it. Other members have whatever role you give them.

Edge cases

  • An invitation is pending until it is accepted. The person does not have access until they accept.
  • Roles can change any time. Access follows the current role, so a change applies immediately.
  • Removing a member keeps their history. The audit record of what they did remains.
